The last time the SOS visited Brighton Speedway was June 17th alongside the WOO Late Models and Picton native Chris Jones 11j took home the checkered in front of his hometown crowd.   Leading the points heading into the weekend is 47X Dylan Westbrook, he grabbed the win on their first visit in May and has had a successful 2017 season to date winning three out of the first four events and leading the current point standings over 22 Shawn Slitter.

With the rain out last week Canadian Modified Driver Kraig Handley #91 will be on display in the courtyard at the beginning of the night as the Campbellford Chrysler Driver of the week along side Driver of the Month Charlie Sandercock #57.  Sandercock has won four Late Model Events in a row and will be looking to extend his streak doing double duty in both the Late Models and to get his first win of the season in a Sprint Car.

Amidst all of the action-packed racing Brighton Speedway is preparing for their Anniversary Celebration on Saturday July 15th.  Opening the gates early at 3:00 PM on the anniversary day there will be live music and guest appearances.  Huck Flindall will walk us through the history of Brighton Speedway and introduce us to those who started it all.  The Wall of Fame inductions will happen at 6:00 PM and the regular racing program will ensue at 7:00 PM.  We encourage all past racers and fans to join us and invite all past Wall of Fame Inductee’s to contact the Speedway Office for complimentary admissions.
