World of Outlaw Late Model star Chub Frank will be coming to Brighton Speedway and bringing his 800 Horse Power late model with him! Chub, known throughout the Late Model racing world as “Chubzilla” will be coming to Brighton to try and take home all the Cash in a Deerhaven Farm and Garden / Dibbits Excavating Dash for Cash on Saturday June 23rd. Trying to stand in the way of Chubzilla and his # 1* Rocket Chassis will be Brighton Speedway’s own Late Model heroes of #11 Corey Earl, #25 Greg Belyea, #29 Phil Potts and #57 of Charlie Sandercock.
While the World of Outlaw’s will be in the area the weekend of June 23rd the four Brighton Speedway stars will pull their GM crate motor’s out of their weekly Brighton Speedway rides and put in their own 700 – 800 HP open motors to compete on the national stage with the top Late Model touring series in North America. “It is tough competing against these guys anywhere but it sure will be fun to race Chub on our home track” states #25 Greg Belyea, the 2011 track champion at Brighton Speedway. Belyea who is also a personal friend of Chub Frank buys all of his Rocket Chassis late models out of Chub Franks shop in Pennsylvania.
Chub will be on hand early in the night to meet and greet fans and sign autographs in the courtyard. The five drivers will have 2 hot lap sessions to tune their super Late Models and then will compete in the 10 lap Deerhaven Farm and Garden / Dibbits Excavating Dash for Cash. Chub and the local heroes will be part of an action packed night on June 23rd as they join the Bill’s John’s Comp 4, The Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks, Bainer’s Radiator Canadian Modifieds, the Gord’s Water Vantastics and the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club as they make their first of two appearances. Also on hand June 23rd presented by Adecco will be the Monster Truck duo of Krazy Train and Aftershock! Both Trucks and their pilots will be available in the court yard between 5:00pm and 7:00pm for autographs and them will be racing and smashing cars throughout the night!
