Good News: The Races Are On, Bad News: Monster Trucks Postponed

With the current forecast of 70-80% chance of rain for tomorrow Saturday June 23rd Brighton Speedway management has been forced to make the tough decision of postponing the 2018 Gerow Propane Summer Smash Monster Truck Show.  As of this time the rest of the race card for Saturday night featuring Canadian Modifieds, Thunder Stocks, Comp 4 and Stingers will go on as scheduled and Brighton Speedway will be offering discount admission to try and offset any inconvenience to its patrons.

“With the Trucks of Overkill Evolution driven by Mike Vaters II the 2015 Monster Jam World Freestyle Champion and Black Stallion driven by Matt Cody coming all the way from Hagerstown, Maryland a decision had to be made today” states track Promoter Mark Rinaldi.  “It is a very long drive for them to get here just to turn around and a very large expense for the Speedway so it is the best decision for both parties involved to postpone the event.

The new date for the Summer Smash event will now be scheduled on September 8th as part of Brighton Speedway’s Championship night.  Fans who have already purchased tickets for this Saturdays event have the option of saving their tickets until September 8th where they will be valid or getting a full refund by contacting the speedway office during business hours.  Refunds will not be available at the track on Saturday night.

We thanks fans for understanding the trials of scheduling around Mother Nature as she has not been much of a race fan this season.
