Packed night of excitement!

Summer is here with a vengeance and race fans can expect even hotter action at the 1/3rd mile clay oval South East of Brighton on Lake Ontario.  McDougall Insurance & Financial, The Community Press and APC Belleville host a packed race card including the rescheduled Wall of Fame Inductions at 6:20 PM in the Courtyard.  The Vanderlaan Building Products Late Models, the Bainer’s OilGARD Anti Rust Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive Thunder Stocks, Bill’s Johns Comp 4/Mini Stocks and the Gord’s Water Vantastics will be joined by the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club.

Saturday night begin with the Wall of Fame Inductions.   This year’s selection includes Jeff Waite, Gord Langstaff and Tim Whitehead.  The ceremony will begin following Hot Laps in the courtyard and all are welcome to attend.

The Late Models are back after a weekend away for the RUSH touring series.  Brighton drivers represented well in the east with 8 travelling to RPM and Grandby last Saturday and Sunday.  With less than 400 points between first and fifth, the Late Model division is definitely a crowd pleaser.

The Canadian Modified division will race Saturday night at home and then drivers will head West for the Everything Small Engines Canadian Modified / UMP Challenge Series at Ohsweken Speedway on Monday night as part of the Northern Summer Nationals. No. 87 Andrew Hennessy holds a decided lead but second through fifth are within 100 points and the standings can change in an instant.

No. 85 Austin Reid trails the Big Smooth No. 72 Doug Anderson by only 35 points in the Thunder Stock division, making an opportunity for the young Brighton driver to take the points lead with only 9 points events left in the season!

Tommy Bailey in the No. 44 and Devon Kippen in the No. 43 are challenging one another for the checkers each week and creating some exciting racing in the mix up.  The consistency of the No. 14 of Matthew Moore in the Mini Stock division has him 150 points ahead of 2nd place rookie Anthony Rinaldi in the No. 7.

These four races plus the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club and the Gord’s Water Vantastics will thrill the fans on Saturday night. Front Gates will open at 5:30 PM, Hot Laps will hit the track at 6:00 PM and the Wall of Fame Inductions will follow.  The Green Flag will fly at 7:00 PM with six divisions of excitement.  Grandstand admission with be; Adults $12.00 Youths & Seniors $10.00 Children 7-12 $3.00 Family Pass $28 Children 6 & Under Free.   All tickets are available at the Front Gate.
